RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES AND FAMILIES

Your key to healthier, happier and more fulfilling relationships

I wanted to thank you for your very valuable help in getting my husband and I into a much improved place where I think we both feel we have a future together.  Like many, I'm sure, I find it very difficult to talk about my deeper thoughts but, by discussing them with you, they gained language which has really helped me see them better.  I think we have a closer future now and I wanted to tell you of my relief that we aren't at the end of our marriage, which is what it felt like a few months ago.

S, Couple counselling client

Many thanks for all you are doing for my daughter.  It means a lot.

A, parent of Young Person client

The sessions with you helped my son and I to understand each other's needs and to reconnect after a difficult period.  They were invaluable.

A, Family counselling client

I feel like we have made such a lot of progress in the time we have been seeing you and life at home is a lot calmer and less fraught.  I am so incredibly grateful for that.

ME AND MY PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Hi, I'm Georgina and I am passionate about relationships and how they form the very fabric of who we are - our integral links to our partners, parents, friends, and children shape us. When those relationships go wrong, or cause us distress, this can cause immeasurable pain.  My goal is to use my counselling space as a safe place to unpack, reflect and understand where and how those relationships could be improved, or how we can find peace with those relationships that are beyond repair.

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Relationship Therapy from Hull University and I have been working with individuals, couples and families since 2015.  I started with Relate before branching out into private practice.  I am integrative in discipline which means I utilise all three main therapeutic approaches (person centred, psychodynamic and CBT) in therapy to suit the client needs.

I am a BACP registered member and operate under their rigorous ethical code.  As part of that code, I undergo personal supervision sessions monthly.  All my sessions are strictly confidential.

I have a specific interest in working with individuals and couples facing fertility difficulties.  I am a member of BICA (British Institute of Infertility Counsellors) and completed their accredited Foundation Course in 2018.

I am also a qualified Young Persons counsellor (Diploma in Adolescent and Schools Counselling from Metanoia Institute).  I am the school counsellor at Reigate Grammar school in Surrey, one of the leading independent schools in the country.  I am experienced in working with risk and safeguarding protocol and have an enhanced DBS.

I have practice rooms in Reigate and Redhill.  Both are near to public transport links and have ample parking.  My Reigate practice has wheelchair access.

Each session lasts 50 minutes and for most work, it is recommended to allow for weekly sessions at the same day and time in your schedule.

I am also experienced in providing online secure video counselling for those who cannot attend in person.

I have a long term partner, and I am a mum and stepmum.
